The Senior Manager is responsible for growing the wholesale business through partnerships with leading department stores, online retailers,
independent retailers and boutiques.
The main objective of the role is to actively drive sales by selling seasonal collections in the showroom and reviewing in season/permanent selling to identify sales opportunities with both existing & new accounts. In addition, s/he is responsible for executing initiatives to open new doors and grow existing client base. This position will also, require travel to further promote the brand and strategy
Responsibilities
Develop and strengthen client relationships with buyers, department stores, e-commerce sites, and specialty store accounts
Develop seasonal projections to forecast sales, markdowns, margin and turnover
Meet and negotiate with key customers on financial plans & sales targets prior to the start of the season
Book and carry out showroom appointments seasonally
Present our collections and make recommendations based on sales performance and current trend
Process orders and work with customer service to see all units are allocated & invoiced
Ensure the highest possible customer service and follow through on orders and deliveries
Regular visits to clients to preform product knowledge seminars; participate in selling events, ensure visual merchandising standards, and to promote brand awareness and worldwide strategy
Create merchandise manuals by client and ad hoc training as needed
Collate sales information from key accounts, analyze and report to senior management building and updating WTD, MTD, & YTD sales reports
Analyze permanent selling and propose reorders as needed. Work on replenishment planning model for department store clients
Aid in the set up and disassembly of showroom collections
Initiate and organize ad hoc events such as trunk shows to help to support key customers
Research and target new customers
Assisting the Finance department with invoice, debit and credit note queries
Sample management and copy sheets review for co-op and ecommerce initiatives
Be hands-on and willing to assist in other areas of the business when necessary
Experience Qualifications
At least 5 years of wholesale/showroom experience, preferably within the luxury retail sector
Experience building relationships with specialty store accounts
Ability to build, execute and follow the Company strategy;
Confident in dealing in retail math, selling reports, financial measurements, and aspects of budgeting
Ability to analyze selling reports, identify business trends, and react quickly to the needs of the business;
Team-player mentality with the strong written and verbal communication skills;
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook;
Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent organizational skills;
Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently;
Schedule flexible and adaptable;
Ability to maintain business relationships and build new ones;
