The eCommerce Buyer Men’s is responsible for driving the success of the Men’s business within eCommerce through effective inventory management and customized merchandise selection for the US market.
Key Accountabilities
Develop targeted sales and purchase plans for each product line;
Closely monitor progress of business and react accordingly to exploit all growth potential;
Drive full price sales growth via collaborating with digital marketing and content management to maximize product’s exposure on the site and on the web;
Align with worldwide product strategies to ensure consistent brand message;
Encourage and strengthen existing rapport between the eCommerce sales team and merchants to understand all commercial potential;
Inventory management: Achieve growth across all classifications and price ranges within open-to-buy parameters and execute proactive stock movements between channels to ensure profitability;
Coordinate with worldwide merchants on product feedback and market needs, pricing and line building through written and verbal communication, and selling reports;
Participate in European travel for fashion presentations, meetings and seasonal buying campaigns;
Analyze selling trends and react timely with reorders and consolidations;
Study and report on competitors pricing, product, and visual presentation strategies;
Create and manage development plan for Assistant Buyer.
Job Requirements
Bachelor degree in Fashion Business or related discipline;
A minimum of 4 years’ eCommerce buying experience preferably gained within a fashion luxury environment;
Strong communication and organizational skills;
Flexibility in adapting to ever changing business needs;
Commercial awareness and strong business acumen;
Passion to exceed and proven ability to drive results via detail oriented follow through;
Ability to understand current market trends and buying psychology within the eCommerce world;
Advanced forecasting, analytical and planning skills;
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced and demanding environment;
Proven success in managing, coaching and developing a merchant.
