Compliance Analyst

Position Summary:

We are seeking an analyst to join the Firm’s largest global account, JPMC, located New York City.

The analyst will provide analytic and data management support to the COO and Global Compliance Manager.  
 
The analyst will also perform sample checks/auditing, and take on special projects as required.  In addition, this role will include administrative tasks (approximately 20% of time) including but not limited to, processing travel expenses, organizing and taking minutes at meetings, creating PowerPoint decks for management and supporting executive management.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Partner with the COO and Global Risk and Compliance Manager  to build a risk awareness culture on the account and minimize compliance gaps
  • Provide analysis of data and develop summary conclusions and reporting
  • Perform sample checks and/or audits of account processes, owning all phases of the review with guidance from managers to include: sampling, managing information requests, testing documentation, and summarizing results and recommendations
  • Deliver reports on monthly and ad hoc basis, including follow-up activities to ensure reports are timely and accurate
  • Management of team SharePoint site set-up and data management to optimize existing data management systems and tools
  • Review and analyze global risk incident reporting.  Assist in the management of follow up reporting to risk incidents.
  • Participate and lead special projects as they are assigned
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the Risk and Compliance team
  • Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with peers, internal colleagues, and clients

  • Strong proficiency with Tableau, Excel, Word, Power Point, Share Point, and other in-house tools, as required
  • Experienced in charting and graphing skills
  • Second language, a plus but not required
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering
  • Operational audit experience, a plus but not required
  • Minimum 1 year of general business experience, preferably in the Real Estate industry
