The Regional Inventory Planner is responsible for allocating and replenishing merchandise from the regional center to stores on the basis of the coverage target for each store and SKU (target stock level), with the overall goal of getting the right products to the right place at just the right time. Additionally, the Regional Inventory Planner manages the consolidation process, as well as the STS transfer for the styles under his/her responsibility
The process and the responsibility will be in the first phase concentrated mainly on carry over items.
Key Accountabilities
Scope of Duties and Responsibilities are to:
Execute allocation and replenishment strategies from the distribution center to stores.
Ensure the correct balance of inventory in the stores according to the assortment matrix.
Evaluate the stock allocation and distribution on the basis of sales, distribution plan, and rationing criteria (or fair share) in order to maximize service levels in the region and to support sales objectives.
Monitor and control store sales and stock levels in the region.
Work with the warehouse department and 3PL to understand lead time, logic of picking and packing, timing to deliver product in stores, and scheduling of deliveries for each store.
Daily allocation review.
Manage the “give and take” process according to analyses of stock balance and transport costs.
Key Requirements
Strong analytical abilities.
Experience with Windows, Excel, Access and Business Information tools to monitor performance and key performance indicators.
Experience using ERP tools to produce shipment requests.
Highest level of detail orientation and extreme accuracy.
Ability to lead cross-functionally.
Collaborative skills in resolving long and short positions in inventory.
Experience with managing end of life cycle and obsolete inventory.
