Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a senior level Associate to join JLL Capital Markets and our Investment Banking team in New York, New York. Our IB team provides strategic advisory and capital raising services to public and private real estate companies including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and recapitalizations.
Responsibilities:
• Perform and oversee complex financial analyses with minimal supervision, including corporate and real estate cash flow projections and valuation analysis, Argus valuation models, corporate balance sheet and recapitalization analyses, transaction structuring analyses and associated sensitivity analyses
• Create and oversee thoughtful and unique pitch books that support new business development
• Create and oversee marketing materials for institutional investors in the context of strategic capital raises and other transactions
• Prepare insightful client presentations and deliverables that guide the decision-making process and provide actionable recommendations
• Gather and evaluate economic, demographic and real estate market data for input into project specific deliverables, valuation models and market analyses
• Read and review real estate documents and due diligence materials and synthesize into thoughtful analyses and conclusions
• Interface with clients and institutional investors on transactions and assist in new business development and transaction execution
• Provide guidance and oversight for and train junior team members in all aspects of IB business
Qualifications:
• 5 - 10 years of relevant experience in real estate investment banking, real estate private equity and / or relevant real estate finance
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, real estate, finance, accounting or related field with excellent academic credentials
• Financial analysis, corporate finance and market research experience (required)
• Strong understanding of real estate and corporate finance fundamentals
• Experience supervising and reviewing work product of less experienced team members
• Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information and translate into strategic deliverables
• Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word software skills (required)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently or within a team
• Ability to interact effectively with clients and investors
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and effectively manage time and workload
