Responsible for managing and growing the Women’s Footwear business and support Sales Manager in consolidating the brand’s market share while gaining leadership position versus the competition both in terms of visibility and volumes by delivering the company’s values as well as high standards
Key Accountabilities
Support Sales Manager on the entire Women’s footwear business, department stores and specialty stores.
Work closely with Sales Manager Women’s Footwear on the strategic process of budget preparation based on sell/thru, gross margins, inventory, shipped and competition
Build collaborative relationships and communicate the Gucci strategy
Partner with accounts/customers to obtain sales plans before market and orders in a timely manner after market
Responsible for being the Gucci ambassador when presenting the collection in the showroom
Assemble seasonal training manuals and product knowledge materials for all accounts in order to ensure brand identity is upheld
Coordinate with accounts’ marketing departments to promote brand image by forwarding current strategies, advertising campaigns, and press releases
Build relationships with store employees in order to better understand specific market needs
Relay Gucci’s merchandising seasonal directives to store managers and associates
Partner with planning to ensure effective and accurate planning of product category
Provide support to Sales Manager and VP Wholesale for the creation of a stock replenishment program
Collaborate with Wholesale Planner for a planning procedure based on new product flows
Support the Sales Manager in maximizing each account’s business potential by creating defined buying guidelines for each partner
Support in defining the challenges and opportunities before mapping a strategic growth plan for this business
Map the WFTWR wholesale distribution, rationalizing and maximizing the network based on the footprint of each partner in each market
Competitive review and analyses to be shared monthly within the department to be part of reporting to WW Merchandising identifying any possible opportunity
Sales analyses and support in action plans – both for sell-in as well as sell-out data
Partner with Customer Service to ensure timely shipments, EDI and pricing adjustment
Review & analyze weekly delivery & by style selling to pinpoint opportunities & challenges
Coordinate the setup, maintenance and showroom’s calendar while in NY market
Responsible for weekly update and analysis of internal selling reports
Responsible for seasonal store seminars and product knowledge
Responsible for interviewing, managing and building the relationship with each DSA
Job Requirements
2-4 years of previous relevant experience
Strong Excel and retail math skills
Being able to speak in public and in front of large groups of people (summit, conclave etc.)
Team player
Great communication skills
Ability to multitask in a complex, fast-moving environment
