Inventory Control Coordinator

The inventory control coordinator position manages inventory through conducting adjustments and corrections in the JDA Inventory System. One aspect of an inventory control clerk's role is to perform daily auditing tasks and working with stores to correct inventory discrepancies. The Inventory Control Coordinator will assist multiple Brands and communicates with the following departments: Logistics, Finance, MIS, Operations, Loss Prevention, and World Wide Customer Service. You will also need exceptional organizational and time management skills. Strong attention to detail. Able to successfully manage and complete multiple assignments. Capable of working independently and in a team environment. Ability to learn new systems in a timely manner. Analysis and interpretation of inventory reports. Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

 

  • The Inventory Control Coordinator will assist multiple brands to ensure the inventory integrity. This also includes, but is not limited to, Transfer, RTV, adjustment, store questions, brand management questions, mass uploads of data, creating ASN's, and normal inventory transactions.
  • Support the Inventory Control Manager, other departments, and brands on various projects as needed.
  • Conduct effective investigation and root cause of inventory variances, producing detailed analysis and recommend counter-measure solutions to management. Drive continuous improvement across procedures and processes. Identify inefficiencies and recommend best practices.
  • Verify and reconcile intercompany transfers between retail, outlets, and other regions. Identification and proper classification of inventory adjustments.
  • Communication with Merchandising, Operations and Finance Teams to help identify and improve processes and procedures. Updating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Assist with periodic reconciliation of physical inventories for each location.
  • Highly proficient in Excel and/or knowledge of JDA (or how an Inventory movements work) is a plus. Basic knowledge of general accounting principles is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, knowledge in Accounting/Finance preferred.
