Area Manager - Out Of Region

AT&T - New York, New York

Working as an Area Manager - AT&T Multi Dwelling Units, Out Of Region, you will supervise and lead sellers (Sales Executives) for the purposes of driving services in apartments and condos. You will be responsible for negotiating new Right of Entry (ROE’s) Agreements in a geographic area, which generally covers 2-3 states.

 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Execute sales strategy to produce new sales and protect the existing revenue base
  • Forecast the production of the assigned territory
  • Participate in customer premise visits
  • Cultivate local industry/trade relationships
  • Work with assigned geographic leadership to build relationships and drive business results
  • Sell in accordance with company policy, procedures and culture
  • Supervise direct reports

 

 

Required Qualifications:
  • Five years telecommunications experience, preferably in business to business sales
  • Two years supervisory experience
  • Strong wireless and telecommunications industry knowledge
  • Negotiation skills
  • Exceptionally strong analytical skills
  • Exceptionally strong process and project management skills
  • Strong leadership skills to drive initiatives and to manage sales organizations expectations and issues
  • Exceptionally strong communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills (deliberate, focused, fair)
  • Understanding of sales and sales process management
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Exceptional multitasking skills
  • Ability to work routinely under very tight timelines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to clear a driver's license check, background check and drug test
  • The successful candidate will be able to perform the following with or without reasonable accommodation:
    • Ability to travel with assigned areas, at least 50% of the time.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
    • Ability to operate a personal computer, wireless equipment, copier and fax
 Desired Qualifications:
  • Six or more years telecommunications experience, preferably in business to business sales
  • Three or more years supervisory experience.
  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Business is preferred
  • Knowledge of U-Verse, AT&T Broadband services and AT&T Mobility products.
  • Previous experience forecasting production numbers and goal setting
  • Effective communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage and work with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to develop and implement business plans
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
