Manager, Moves

Position Summary:

Coordinate all move-add-change (MAC) activities
Ensure that client has approved all actions, and that dates are on target, and that move processes are managed and operated according to the client’s policies and procedures
Create and distribute move instructions, and manage internal and external suppliers (furniture, movers, telecommunications, computers, nameplates, etc.) required to deliver the services outlined
Initiate/attend meetings as required to review schedules and move management tasks with related vendors
 
Provide occupancy planners and project managers with MAC services for their projects and assignments.
Develop and implement group move plans in collaboration with facility management, project management and construction management teams, as required.
Be proactively focused on meeting project requirements in a timely and cost effective manner.
Ensure that the occupancy records for a department are reflected accurately after a project move is complete
 
Evaluate overall vendor performance to ensure the client’s standards of performance are met
Suggest changes to existing MAC processes to maintain or improve service delivery while reducing operating cost
 
Demonstrate proficiency in the use of all related technology systems, as required for assigned projects.
Ensure data is accurate and current in all applications
Deliver activity reporting to the client as required, such as progress and status reports, supplier contracts and invoices (as necessary), churn issues, and employee updates.
Serve as a backup to the Move Desk Coordinator when needed to plan and schedule moves in the IWMS system.
 
Manage invoice processing and tracking from PO creation and submission to vendor payment
 
C.        EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
 
 

  • Bachelors’ degree in Business, engineering, space planning and or project management.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years industry experience in facilities management, Space, Move management.
  • Project Management background preferred.
  • Excellent  interpersonal skills to manage diverse range of service providers and Client representatives
  • Sound written, oral and presentation communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and complex operational matters on a daily basis
  • Capacity to deal with ambiguity and address complex problems
  • Core financial, technical, engineering or building management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, word, excel, live meeting etc.
  • Proficiency in One View Space Management
