Position Summary:

OVERVIEW
JLL is seeking a motivated student to join our Total Facility Management team for a summer internship.
The intern will learn the industry through the lens of JLL’s substantial market share and client interaction. As part of the internship, JLL will provide learning experiences throughout the organization so that each intern truly understands the commercial real estate experience, business analytics and operational oversight required to deliver best in class Total Facility Management (Portfolio Facility Management, Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, Professional Services etc.) support.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly-organized, able to work well in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, demonstrate clear communication skills, and be motivated to learn – with a deep passion for and interest in Total Facility Management as a career.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Work under the daily direction of JLL Facility staff to support daily facility operations and facility projects Assist teams of onsite engineers on several large scale projects/ initiatives
  • Support operations team with technical management of engineering functions such as building automation, wastewater treatment, HVAC system and controls, pilot plan and laboratory, limited to low voltage power, mechanical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, general maintenance, carpentry, plumbing system, fire safety
  • Compliance with all operations and controls excellence program requirements including maintaining up to date maintenance and operations records.  Keep equipment and work areas clean and orderly
  • The Intern will demonstrate a proactive focus on meeting client and project requirements in a timely and cost effective manner
  • Comply with all Jones Lang LaSalle policies and procedures, including but not limited to Ethics and Business Practice as well as Environmental Health & Safety
  • Perform additional job duties, as requested
 
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Candidates must have an understanding of engineering principles
  • Students currently seeking an engineering degree in civil, electrical, chemical and/or mechanical engineering at an accredited university
  • Must have a means of transport
