The Digital Associate Merchant is responsible for supporting sales, margin, turn and growth for total company across both channels for a defined area within the Digital Director’s total area of responsibility, in partnership with the Leased Partners and Omni Team by influencing online assortment selection to drive Digital demand. Partner with the Omni Buying team to create Omni strategies (both pre-season and in-season) that drive the overall business. Own and drive Site Merchandising and Marketing strategies to maximize online productivity. Develop skills necessary for advancement. Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions:
For a defined area within the Digital Merchant’s total area of responsibility:
• Devise and recommend Digital strategies at the Omni Buyer level (department, class and/or vendor).
• Develop plan for Digital demand and forecast for the Omni rolling forecast in partnership with Omni Team.
• Partner with Digital Director and Site Merchandising to develop Site strategy and execution plan.
• Develop pre-season Pricing strategy specific to online.
• Lead assortment planning process for online sales, and partner with License Partner to make in-season adjustments that drive sales.
• Own and manage strategy and execution of in-season online pricing and ensure alignment with Licensed Partner, Omni Team, and Pricing Team.
• Partner with Marketing and Omni Team for pre-season strategies (i.e.: online events, promotion), affiliate marketing, and in-season marketing campaigns.
• Perform competitive analysis and recommend action.
• Serve as key partner, adviser and influencer to Licensed Partners.
In addition:
• Support Digital Director as requested in total area of responsibility.
• Train and develops direct reports.
• Develop self – attend ongoing professional development and training. Stay current on management best practices.
• Coach and mentor Digital Assistant Merchant.
• Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Finance, Marketing or equivalent).
• 2 years buying or planning experience including in an online and ecommerce merchandising environment.
Communication Skills:
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to influence.
Reasoning Ability:
• Result-oriented and self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency.
Other Skills:
• Strong analytical and excel skills.
• Ability to develop, plan, present and execute strategies.
Work Hours:
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
