As a Manager of Lease Innovation and Execution you will be responsible for driving process and leading teams to implement new lease business. Additionally, you will identify opportunities and lead both internal and external partners to integrate lease businesses into existing and future Macy’s processes and strategies. This position serves as the first-level contact on store operations and related issues, including staffing, asset protection, logistics, Human Resources and other issues.
Essential Functions:
• Lead cross-functional teams to scope, plan for, and implement new leased businesses. Collaborate with Leased Merchants to understand key priorities for new partners, anticipate business needs for set up and long-term success, and develop and manage an implementation plan to ensure that deliverables are achieved on or ahead of schedule.
• Identify opportunities to integrate leased businesses into existing or future Macy’s strategies, including omnichannel capabilities, selling tools, operational and logistics enhancements, and other similar processes. Lead discovery and discussions with leased business partner and Leased Merchants, propose plan of implementation understanding needs and anticipated costs for both parties, and lead implementation plans.
• Lead functional tracks on all future initiatives. These groups may include internal and external stakeholders such as: Lease Merchants, Leased Business Partner, Store Operations, Logistics, Legal, Accounting, Store Communications, Selling Services, MST, Human Resources, MIO, Asset Protection, Marketing, MCOM and other similar functions. Ensure that stakeholders are committed to initiative and completing deliverables as needed.
• Contribute to building a culture of innovation within both the Leased organization and the larger Merchandising group.
• Own communication on all project needs with internal and external partners, developing agendas, scheduling relevant meetings, and publishing recap with action points and owners.
• Create and deliver Executive-level presentations summarizing plans and progress.
• Assist Director, Lease Innovation and Execution in contract negotiations as needed, owning revisions and clarifications independently.
• Understand structure and terms of existing relationships. Provide notice to Leased Merchants on upcoming renewals and insight on contractual responsibilities.
• Coordinates set-up of new leased vendors and communicate logistical and operational requirements.
• Serve as first-level contact on store operations related issues, including staffing, asset protection, logistics, and other issues, partnering with subject matter experts and business owners as needed to resolve issues.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 3 years project management or other similar broad-based experience.
Communication Skills:
• Excellent listening, written, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with officers and senior management of collaboration and lease partner companies.
Reasoning Ability:
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to multi-task and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
• Results-oriented and self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
Other Skills:
• Advanced MS application proficiency, especially Excel, Powerpoint, and SharePoint.
• Ability to glean and synthesize information from a variety of sources.
• Proven ability to collaborate with and lead cross-functional groups, delivering results with a very diverse group of contributors.
• Initiates and builds relationships with key internal stakeholders, including Finance, MIO, and accounting.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
