The Assistant Technical Designer is responsible for providing support to the Technical Team. Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions:
• Prepare samples for Fitting: measure samples and enter measurements in PLM.
• Provide support in fit sessions- adhering to fit protocol and assist in driving the fit approval process.
• Update and maintain seasonal pattern/block library.
• Create fit comparison charts.
• Adhere to Brand Calendar & support Technical Design Team to ensure seasonal deadlines are met.
• Create & maintain weekly fit schedule; Book fit models & maintain fit Model budget.
• Track fit samples, maintain seasonal tracking chart and participate in Production Meetings.
• Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
• College Degree in related field of study.
• 1-3 years of experience.
Communication Skills:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to support a Team environment.
• Skilled at openly communicating in a Team environment with all Business Partners.
Reasoning Ability:
• Strong analytical skills.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational & time management skills.
• Ability to proactively trouble shoot & problem solve.
Other Skills:
• Knowledge of patternmaking and garment construction a plus.
• Knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and Adobe Illustrator.
• Knowledge of PLM, PDM or related program a plus.
Work Hours:
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
