The Asset Protection Technology Manager position will interface directly with all levels of corporate and store executives and will be instrumental in bringing the asset protection systems and functionality that impact profit protection. This position combines a strong understanding of the asset protection needs with an equally deep understanding of the business intelligence and analysis goals to champion solutions that results in detecting shortage, theft and fraud. This position must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, at various stages of their development. Strong candidates should possess a proven track record of leading and developing AP store teams as well as the in depth technical acumen and knowledge.
Essential Functions:
• Builds relationship with key user and store operation groups to impact and protect profit.
• Manages and provides technical and business direction that affects all aspects of the asset protection discipline, new applications, data security, mobile technology, and network infrastructure.
• Directs and manages the progress of multiple AP projects.
• Supports all aspects of the AP technology platforms including but not limited to: SIS, FLPM, CCR, CO$T, MyReports, Sharepoint, Portal Apps, Mobile Technology, VMS, Network Infrastructure, Dashboard Analytics, and Big Data.
• Participates in contract and vendor negotiations and communication
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication and presentation skills;
• Ability to communicate complex findings and ideas in plain language
• Being able to work in teams towards a shared goal with proven ability to change direction .quickly based on business needs,
• Proactively seeking clarification of requirements and direction; take responsibility when needed.
• Develops and maintains reports for Stores and other management relevant to assigned area. Ensures report information is accurate and actionable so report has business analysis Stay updated of industry trends and competitor practices in the aspect of business intelligence and technical security practices.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
• College Degree preferred.
• 6-10 years of experience in Asset Protection and/or technology discipline
Mathematical Skills:
• Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Able to use a calculator.
Reasoning Ability:
• Self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team and must have good time management skills.
Physical Demands:
• This position may involve stooping, kneeling, climbing, crouching, as well as regular walking, standing, hearing, and talking.
• Requires ability to distinguish color, involves close vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Other Skills:
• Strong analytical, prioritization and negotiating skills
• Passionate about building great AP tools/apps and resolving complex business needs.
• Strong functional knowledge of MS Office, SQL, Crystal, and Sharepoint
• Strong desire to understand big data technology that will be incorporated into future AP logic such as: Hadoop, Mahout, HBase, Spark, Flume, Splunk, and SAS.
Work Hours:
• Flexible with scheduling and available to work retail hours, which may include day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.
